After all our refurbishments and today’s reopening we would like to invite you to our Relaunch event on Wednesday 6th November between 2:00pm and 5:00pm
Why not come along and see what changes have occurred in the centre and what we have to offer you and your family.
Light refreshments will be available.
As the spectator’s numbers increase every year (approx. 2000 last year) the limited space makes it no longer feasible to hold the firework display outside the Centre.
Management committee members met with City of Edinburgh Council ‘Events Planning & Operations Group’ who agreed that Colinton Mains Park could be a suitable venue. It also became apparent during this meeting just how much work needs to be done in the limited time to organise this event.
Regrettably, it has been agreed that due to the refurbishment of the centre and the planning of the centre re-launch the committee does not have the man power resources to commit to the fireworks this year.
Thanks to John McNeil and the EPOG committee who were most supportive and will help guide us through the process next year (2014) when the Pentland Centre Management Committee should be able to have a display in Colinton Mains Park.
